FARMING: The Cemetery Block: Pinot noir grown in the base of the Piccadilly valley, alluvial sandy soil over sandstone all day sun and cool valley temperatures. Planted by Jim Griggs (RIP) and now run by Jenny and James Griggs (6th Generation on the farm). The farm is immaculate and meticulous care is taken. The vines are cane pruned.
WINEMAKING: 100% destemmed, saignéed and fermented in open topped wooden barred. After 10 days. On skins with occasional plunging is pressed a 680 ceramic egg. The wine is made of the free run component only.
