An adored wine to lovers of Pineau d'Aunis (aka us). Made with a very special parcel of 100+ year old vines. Lighter than some previous vintages. Pale and transclucent, adorned with strawberry, plum, and chalky minerality. Earthy and peppery and taut.

SOIL: Clay, flint, limestone

VINES: 100+ years

WINEMAKING: Maceration and proportions of whole-cluster or destemming vary each vintage depending on the sanitary state of the grapes. The grapes are foot-trodden before going into maceration vats. A semi-carbonic maceration lasts one to three weeks. The grapes are then pressed and age about 12 months in vat until bottling.
