Jean-Paul Versino makes traditional wines with natural methods and old vines, and has been his whole career. Made with a blend of fruit from his Joncquieres land with some declassified Chateauneuf-du-Pape, this wine punches way above its weight.

VARIETAL: Approximately 45% Grenache, 40% Merlot, 15% Syrah

VINTAGE: 2022

FARMING: Organic

SOIL: 80% clay/chalk 

VINES: 35-115 years

WINEMAKING: The farming is organic and the harvest is by hand. He ferments this wine almost entirely in concrete (there is a little stainless steel), whole cluster and with natural yeasts. He ages it in large, old wood, uses very little sulfur, and doesn't fine or filter.
